In this deeply engaging and joy-filled session, you will learn to:
Build graceful, flowing figure strings that resemble charming doll-like forms
Transform simple structures into expressive ZEN FOLKS characters
Use easy, mindful tangles to add texture, rhythm, and visual storytelling
Explore the beauty of contrast in black & white compositions
Gently introduce color to enhance mood, depth, and personality
Use shading techniques to create dimension and bring your figures to life
We will work on both:
A white square tile — offering structure and balance
A round tile — inviting flow and softness
Through these formats, you will experience how composition shifts, evolves, and opens up new creative pathways.

✨ Part 1 – The Foundation
We begin by understanding the concept in depth — exploring supplies, learning the tangles, and practicing them through a guided step-out worksheet
✨ Part 2 – Project One (Black & White)
You will create your first ZEN FOLKS composition using monochrome — focusing on balance, contrast, and depth through shading
✨ Part 3 – Project Two (Color Exploration)
We then move into color — adding warmth, personality, and expression, allowing your ZEN FOLKS to truly come alive

If you’re just getting started, I recommend beginning with my Fundamentals of Zentangle workshop before joining this session — it will give you the perfect foundation to enjoy this magical project fully.
