I’m thrilled to introduce Star of Shree, a 31-day Zentangle journey celebrating the quiet beauty of the square. Each day, we’ll create a small, joyful tile — simple, meditative, and creatively fulfilling. By the end of the month, all 31 pieces will come together in a stunning final mosaic featuring the 8-pointed star, a symbol that carries deep meaning across cultures.

In many traditions, the 8-pointed star represents balance, harmony, and cosmic order. In my own culture, it is the Star of Sri, associated with Goddess Lakshmi and her eight forms of abundance — prosperity, wisdom, strength, compassion, beauty, skill, fertility, and spiritual grace. Creating with this symbol turns our practice into something both artistic and soulful.

Throughout this series, we’ll explore squares in playful ways — through classic tangles, organic patterns, geometric explorations, shading, and creative prompts.
